I attended a GNO bloggers event at Thanksgiving Point last week and learned some really fun things. Like how to make this adorable, economical neighbor gift…


Easy as pie: can, pea rocks, potting soil, paper whites bulb, moss, water, burlap, green sprigs, red berries, DONE and for about two dollars!

And where to shop for cute items like these…

I will require all my gifts to be wrapped in this paper. 😉 And I just adore these oversized stockings straight out of whoville!

I am dying to try the Grilled Flatbread, Roasted Chicken Pot Pie, House Penne, Spiced Apple Fritters, and Vanilla Creme Brulee. Could I eat it all in one sitting, well I could try!

Plein Air Art Festival September 14-18

This was truly a learning experience for me. I have frequented the many child themed areas of Thanksgiving Point like Cornbelly’s and the Children’s Discovery Garden, but was yet to visit the more adult areas like Harvest Restaurant, where they serve the most divine Rock Shrimp Nachos, and the Emporium, with its 13,000 square feet of one of a kind shopping. There are seriously so many things to do and see at Thanksgiving Point any time of the year! Whether the Tulip Festival, cooking classes, or the gigantic Dinosaur museum there is something to please every member of the family.

Oh, and I have something that will totally please your family! Thanksgiving Point is giving away an annual family pass (value $175) to a lucky Tipsy reader! Talk about fun family present under the tree.

  18. I think i’d love to take my kids to the children’s discovery gardens the most….but trying those nachos at Harvest with my hubs on a date night does sound divine as well. 🙂

  73. We just moved back to Utah after 10 years and there’s SO much to see at Thanksgiving Point, my how it has changed. We need to go see the lights, but I’m dying to try some of the food!

  94. We will be headed to the Dino museum next. But looking forward to spring for the Tulip Festival at the Gardens. And the farm is more fun when it earns up a little, too. But we’ll be visiting the reindeer and going to see the lights. Oh, I can’t just pick one part of Thanksgiving Point. Can this still be an entry to win?

  101. We love Thanksgiving Point! My budding photographer 7 year old likes to take pics at the garden, they LOVE the children’s garden water fountain area, we go to classes there and spend hours at the dino museum. I can’t wait for the new hands on children’s museum and their new space exhibit to open!

  166. My son loves to visit the Dinosaur Museum the most… but like you I also haven’t had a chance to try the Harvest Restaurant, so I’d love to try it out.
