It may be raining outside, but we have a touch of spring on our dining table. This little arrangement brightens up my day, even when the clouds are looming outside. Were you wondering where the sixth bottle from this collection went? Now you know!
My little one chose these daisies at the dollar store. He was very insistent and would not let them go, so I decided to go with it and found the turquoise glass gems to add another pop of color. This project cost me a total of $2!! Another stash busting hubs pleaser!
What you’ll need:
Silk Flowers
Soda Bottle with labels removed
Glass gems
Burlap scrap
Ribbon Scrap
Glue gun

1. What is your favorite crafting tool or secret weapon?
I would say my cricut! I got it last Christmas, and it has saved me so much time! No more tracing circles with a paper plate, or cutting out paper hearts…it does it ALL for me and SO much more! Oh and I SOO want the Cricut Cake…but just can’t justify that one.
2. If you were an ice cream topping which would you be and why?
I would be homemade chocolate syrup, because what else do you need then a big fat chocolate sundae?? Especially during nap time š
3. What is your favorite Mother’s Day present you have either given or received?
I would say the cards from my hubby! They are so sweet, and remind me that I am a good mother!

My poor porch needed a springy update and bad. Since the hubs has pretty much put the halt on my thrifting until I use and/or reinvent all the treasures I have previously brought home, figures. š I used this opportunity to bring out some of my finds that have up until this point been neglected.
I shopped my house and with the exception of four $1 Hydrangea stems snagged from the Dollar Tree everything else was stuff I already had.
1. Watering Can Arrangement
I started out with this metal can I bought from the D.I. last summer for $1. Thus, the $5 cost up top, $4 in flowers, $1 for can. I spruced the can up a bit with a strip of burlap and ribbon bow, then arranged the Hydrangeas. Loved it, but it looked so lonely on the porch all alone.
2. Old Chair
I found this chair in the garage. My Bro in Law gave a few of them to us when he got married and upgraded his dining set. It is totally weathered because we left it on the deck one winter. We wanted to throw it out 100 times, but something told me no. Now I know why. It makes me smile. There was still a little something missing.
5. Glass Soda Bottles
Remembered the six pack of Grape Crush bottles I collected from a family party at my sister Amy’s house last weekend. My nieces and nephews thought I was a loon as my eyes gleamed as each one of them finished their drink and handed me the bottle and bottle cap. I knew I could do something with them.
So, here comes the poll. I thought it would be so cute to add drinking straws to each of the bottles for something original and to add an element of fun. Does it add summery fun, or make it look like a bunch of trash I left on my porch? See below and vote please!

I need all y’alls opinions! All in all I am so very pleased with my new found springdom and the hubs is pleased with how many of my “treasures” I used. maybe I will be out of the thrifty doghouse soon. š For now, stay tuned for more stash busting projects!
