November 20, 2012 By Michelle Barneck Leave a Comment

Are you familiar with Rod Works? If you live in Utah, Nevada, Arizona or Folsom, California you probably are, but if you’re not you ought to be. They are easily one of my favorite home decor stores. I love wandering through their store and I found out you can shop Rod Works online too!! I already spent a little too much time surfing through the site making a wish list.

So, I’m sure you know Black Friday is coming up and Rod Works will be having some killer deals switching out through the whole weekend! Check these out!

For In-store visitors…

Friday, November 23 and Saturday the 24th receive 25% off one regular priced item. Also, on the 24th customer receipts will be printed with a bounceback coupon for 35% off!

For online shoppers here are a few of my favorite deals on November 23rd…

There will also be free shipping on Cyber Monday!

I have a good feeling I’ll be making an appearance at one of the stores this weekend!

Disclosure: I received a Rod Works gift card for sharing this post, but the love of the store is all mine.

Arkansas at Its Finest

November 18, 2012 By Michelle Barneck Leave a Comment

For those of you who follow me on Instagram its no news to you that I just got back from a little trip down to Arkansas. I had a fun opportunity to be on KATV Power moms segment sharing some fun Cricut Mini projects, but also had a lot of good laughs and a little sampling of the local culture.

Let’s start from the beginning…

On the flight I not only met our newest fan “Hi Lance!” but also did the classic embarrassing moment and hit the wrong button to lean my seat back and instead laid my neighbors seat back…while he was asleep… and woke him up. Oops, sorry guy with awesome accent. I was doing him a favor right?

Once there we (Nathan from Cricut and I) picked up our ride and were on our way. Not quite the mini van I was hoping for, but it did the job. 😉

Next up was lunch and what better way to break us in than sampling the local fare.

Cricut particularly enjoyed our time at the Flying Fish.
Back to the hotel for craft night where we finished off some projects for the segment and made this super sparkly Arkansas shirt. I was a temporary resident after all.

The next morning it was up for the segment bright and early at 5:30 am. Did I mention the fact that I forgot to change my clock from Utah time and woke up 15 minutes before we were supposed to leave? Cause I did. Thankfully I showered the night before and had a chauffeur so I could do my make up in the car. That’s how the hard core people do it.
Lucky for me that didn’t leave me any time to get nervous.

A detailed post on the tins will be coming soon!
So what to do with the segment filmed and 12 hours to burn before your flight? Visit the William Clinton Presidential Library of course. We found this gem drawn by Billy Clinton himself. You provide the caption in a comment…
Cricut was a fan of the cabinet room. He’s ready to run the place.
We declared it bacon day and had bacon at all three meals. The best was Nathan tweeting bacon day and having his phone auto correct it to coronary.
Good times were had by all. Thanks to Cricut for a memorable trip to Little Rock!

Coupon & Promo Codes

November 15, 2012 By Michelle Barneck 1 Comment

I am a Black Friday shopper. I get up early go out and wait in a long line in the freezing cold to rush in to a store and fight over discounted merchandise. Heck, sometimes I don’t even need anything I just go with my sister’s to help them in their quest and experience a nice adrenaline rush. I even once stole a portable dvd player from a child (well, he was like 10ish). Granted he and his mother were a few people behind me in the portable DVD player line and once it started moving she sent him wiggling his way through to the front and he grabbed six. I just needed one and was left empty handed because of him so I figured taking one of the top of his pile was just. I’m not proud. Here is your opportunity to shun.

So I have discovered the last year or two the joys of online Black Friday. You can get many of the same deals from the comfort of your own home with a few strategic clicks. What’s better than that? Well, his year I discovered Black Friday shopping with Coupon Codes. What? You can do that? Yes, my dearies, you can. CouponCodes4u is a free service specializing in good deals, discounts and has an extensive range of coupons, sales and exclusive discounts, even for Black Friday. Crazy.

CouponCodes4u.com - The 1st stop before you shop

Here are just a few of the stores I found listed…

  • Aeropostale
  • Nike
  • Sears
  • Nordstrom
  • Expedia
  • Cabela’s
  • Nautica
  • The Body Shop
  • Levi’s
  • Macy’s
  • Mattel
  • Disney Store
  • The Children’s Place
  • Hotels.com
  • Walgreen’s
  • Land’s End

I plan on getting Promo Codes for Amazon. They have a bundle listed. I am a proud Amazon prime member and usually end up doing like half of my holiday shopping there (thank you wish lists, lightning deals, and free two day shipping) so that was a bonus find for me.

So, join me fellow deal seekers and shop Black Friday in your jammies. 🙂

Disclosure: I was compensated for this post, but the opinions and excitement are all mine.
