January Visiting Teaching Message

January 6, 2012 By Michelle Barneck 3 Comments

The January Visiting Teaching message is titled “Watchcare and Ministering Through Visiting Teaching.” It is a great reminder about how we can help each other through small acts of service and growing friendships through visiting teaching. It is a great reminder to coincide with the renewed desires to be good visiting teachers that seem to come with the new year.

January Visiting Teaching Message

I went with a snowy theme because we have had a great lack thereof and if it is going to be cold we may as well have snow to make it pretty right?

You are welcome to share the quote I chose for the January visiting teaching message with your sisters and use this handout if you like.

I made the handout using my memories suite software. I am loving it more and more each time I use it! (If you need scrapbooking software, use the coupon code:STMMMS97077 for $10 off, making it $29.97, and get a $10 code to spend in the MyMemories.com Design Shop!)

To print the January Visiting Teaching Message:

  • Right click the image and copy. Then, you can paste it in to word and re-size and copy as necessary for how many you want on a page.
  • or
  • Right click and save, then open with Windows Photo Gallery which allows you to print choosing your paper size (4×6).

How to Eat to Lose Weight

January 5, 2012 By Michelle Barneck 11 Comments

This tip comes from the hubs. The first time he did it, it totally made me laugh.
Eating in a tiny bowl with a baby spoon let’s you still enjoy the things you love. The small portions help you cut calories, but the baby spoon makes it last and seem like more. Ha!

DIY Under $5

January 4, 2012 By Michelle Barneck 5 Comments

Today I’m sharing a project that is the beginning of a series of stashbusting items.
Ready for this? Belt+Beads=Cute Fabric Necklace
I’m usually something of a neutral girl, so this was a step outside for me with bold pattern and bright colors. I love it!

Make Fabric Necklace
Now let’s see what you’ve been up to!

I enjoy so much your $5 projects that I decided to add an addition link section for anything under $15! That’s right. It will open up a place to show additional projects that can’t be purchased with an Abe Lincoln, but are still totally affordable! I can’t wait to see more from you!

Please remember:

  • Only link to your own projects that cost you $5 or less (price does not have to include items you had on hand) or $15 or less in the 2nd section.
  • You can link past projects that fit the dollar limit, but please only link each project one time to one DIY Under $5 party. Do not link the same project week after week.
  • No linking giveaways or items for sale
  • Please link back so others can join the party and so you have the opportunity to be featured on Saturday!
