December Visiting Teaching Message

December 2, 2010 By Michelle Barneck 1 Comment

The December visiting teaching message is on Our Responsibility to Participate in Temple and Family History Work. I took some quotes from Julie B. Beck to use on the December Visiting Teaching handout.

I like how it talks about the blessings and comfort we will receive from doing this work. Lucky for me, my sister Angela is a professional genealogist so she works hard on our lines and I get to help with the temple work. We do family gatherings with all my siblings and parents about once a year (my pro-gen sis lives in MD, we wish we could get together more) where we all do sealings for our ancestors.

Feel free to print the December visiting teaching handout and use as you like.

I used the Shabby Princess Plentiful kit to make the December Visiting Teaching handout.

November Visiting Teaching Message: The Divine Gift of Gratitude

November 14, 2010 By Michelle Barneck 13 Comments

November’s visiting teaching message is to come from the October 2010 LDS General Conference talks. There were so many that I loved, but I thought President Thomas S. Monson’s talk on “The Divine Gift of Gratitude” was perfect for November.

I made this month’s visiting teaching handout a bit larger than usual because I wanted to use a lot of quotes but still have them readable. They are 5×7 handouts so you can fit two on a page.

Feel free to print and use as you like!

I used Shabby Princess Plentiful and WM (squared) Designs Turkey & Stuffing digital scrapbooking kits. The font is Candy Buzz BTN from Kevin & Amanda.

As a side note, I am in a contest to win a kitchen full of brand new Kitchenaid appliances. I would love it if you would vote for me! Please rescue my appliances. The voting is open until November 17th and you can vote daily. The great part is for every time you vote you get entered for a Kitchenaid Stand Mixer!

October Visiting Teaching Handout

October 1, 2010 By Michelle Barneck 4 Comments

This month there is not a Visiting Teaching Message. We are to choose excerpts from the special Temples issue of the Ensign. I chose these quotes for my October visiting teaching handout from President Thomas S. Monson’s talk. I also used the photo from the Ensign cover. I am really excited to have this temple issue to use as reference for lessons and FHE in the future!

Feel free to print the visiting teaching handout and use as you like.

September Visiting Teaching Handout

September 6, 2010 By Michelle Barneck 8 Comments

The September Visiting teaching handout is on “Our Responsibility to Nurture the Rising Generation.” This seems to be a common theme lately. This rising generation must be something special huh? 😉 I used the quote from Julie B. Beck. She is amazing!

Feel free to print out the Visiting teaching handout and use it as you like.

I am loving this argyle/bird combo!
