April Visiting Teaching Message: The Purpose of Relief Society

April 2, 2011 By Michelle Barneck 8 Comments

The April Visiting Teaching Message continues the theme of learning about the purpose of Relief Society. My favorite part was again a quote from Julie B. Beck. I bet you aren’t surprised by that. 🙂 It talks about personal revelation and how we can not succeed without it.

Feel free to print it out and share with your sisters.

I used the free Just my Type digital scrapbooking kit from Everyday mom Ideas.

I have had a lot of people asking how to print these off. It is really easy to right click the image and copy. Then, you can paste it in to word and re-size and copy as necessary for how many you want on a page. You can also right click and save, then open with Windows Photo Gallery which allows you to print choosing your paper size. I choose 4×6 and do them on photo cards.

Hope you are all enjoying general conference!

DIY Under $5: Easter Printables

March 30, 2011 By Michelle Barneck 33 Comments

I wanted something meaningful for my Easter display this year to remind us what that Easter is more than bunnies and baskets full of treats. I made this printable with the words to “I Know That My Redeemer Lives” a hymn written by Samuel Medley.

The best thing about printables is they are free! I made mine in dark purple as a part of a display I will be debuting soon, but I wanted to get this out there if you would like to use it! I printed mine to fit an 8×10 frame. Click the pic to go to photobucket to download.

So now it’s time to link up!

Please remember:

  • Only link to your own projects that cost you $5 or less (price does not have to include items you had on hand)
  • You can link past projects that fit the dollar limit
  • Please link back so others can join the party

General Conference Coloring

March 26, 2011 By Michelle Barneck 5 Comments

Here’s a fun General Conference coloring page to add to your packet! I thought rain was appropriate for April.

Click on the image above to make it larger for printing.

Here are some ideas you could use to make a General Conference packet.

As always, Sugardoodle has a ton of fabulous general conference packets for all ages.

Even my girl Alison from Oopsey Daisy got in on the general conference packet action!

I just got back from the YW general broadcast and it was amazing as usual!
I can’t wait for next weekend!

March Visiting Teaching Message

March 8, 2011 By Michelle Barneck 8 Comments

This month’s visiting teaching message is titled “Under the Priesthood and after the Pattern of the Priesthood.” I just love Julie B. Beck and her quote is my favorite part of March’s visiting teaching message.
