Daddy made a makeshift belt out of a shoelace to keep the non-adjustable waist jeans on skinny boy.

That is a very good idea!! Very clever
With our first child I was still working (while he went to school) and I came home one afternoon to see my 6 month old in a 3T dress.
The next time I had to work I came home to see her in a pants and onesie... onesie buttoned on the outside.
Now she is 8 and we have a 3 month old girl again. She is always dressed well (since I'm home now) and 70% of the time has her hair done.
The things my first had to go through, poor girl.
