Ok, maybe not build a bear, but dress a bear. This is just a quick idea for an afternoon activity. We tried it the other day and my little guy thought it was all sorts of fun. All you need is a teddy bear (or other doll or stuffed animal with 4 limbs) and some of your kiddos old clothes. I gave him a few different choices: a pair of feety jammies aka blanket sleeper, a couple of shirts, some shorts and this Hawaiian outfit.
Basically, just what I had in the closet that he had grown out of. I let him choose what the bear should wear and then let him dress him, but was there to help when needed.
He loved being able to choose and mix up the outfits and also LOVED the buttons. It is a great way for them to practice dressing and doing zippers, snaps and buttons.

Fun idea! I will have to try it.
