Hi everyone! My name is Stephanie and I am excited to be here today! Michelle and I actually go way back- we swapped blogs 2 years ago, so when I saw the line up of bloggers who were participating in The Dating Divas Blog Swap, I was excited to see Michelle and I paired up this month, just like the good ‘ole days.

I’m here today to show you 5 of my most favorite projects that you will find on my site Somewhat Simple.

I get invited to a lot of baby showers. I’ll show you an easy way to turn a boring baby boy gift into something great simply by wrapping it in a cute baseball glove!

This couple’s collage hangs over my bed and is a fun reminder of the good times my husband and I have spent together.

I’ll be honest, I hate to exercise. For those of you like me, you’ll love this exercise block!

I haven’t found a better way to keep my family organized! This Dry Erase Glass Calendar is a hit!

One of the first projects I made with chalkboard paint and also still my favorite! Its a fun way to celebrate the things in life you may not normally think to be excited over.

You got it. I just got called as a cub scout leader for the Webelos. I know nothing about being a cub scout leader, but I am excited to figure things out.

I have always had a great respect for the Boy Scouts of America program. I remember when my brother got his Eagle. It was a lot of work for a teenage boy. I was impressed that he organized an Earthquake Preparedness Program for our community in Southern California all by himself.

In my teenage years, being an Eagle scout was one of the items on my “Dream Guy” checklist. Ha, remember writing those? Now, I am excited for my own boys to be Boy Scouts. I suppose getting in the swing of Cub Scouts will give me a good head start helping my boys through scouting.

I love that cub scouts embraces the role of the family and teaches wholesome values as well as encouraging an active healthy lifestyle. As I was flipping through the manual, I was excited to find more than just tying knots and camping prep. There were badges emphasizing science, technology, and engineering. I love that today’s Boy Scout has evolved to “be prepared” in many areas!

So, I am venturing in to a new realm. Any advice for surviving scouts? Have you been a scout leader or had a great one for your kids? Or, a better question may be, how am I going to accessorize the uniform? 😉
