Here’s a fun General Conference coloring page to add to your packet! I thought rain was appropriate for April.

As always, Sugardoodle has a ton of fabulous general conference packets for all ages.

Even my girl Alison from Oopsey Daisy got in on the general conference packet action!

I just got back from the YW general broadcast and it was amazing as usual!
I can’t wait for next weekend!

General Conference Activity

September 25, 2010 By Michelle Barneck 13 Comments

It’s that time again! LDS General Conference is almost here and I am always looking for things to entertain the kids. Here is a fall themed coloring page I made for an easy printable General Conference Activity. Who doesn’t love a little pumpin this time of year?!

I love to have coloring pages that include words to listen for during general conference. It is easy to color for my little pre-readers, but also has something a little more challenging for the kids who can read. I find it helps them listen to the talks and pick out the topics discussed during conference.

May Visiting Teaching Handout-Conference Edition “Keeping Our Families on the Road to Him”

May 4, 2010 By Michelle Barneck 16 Comments

This month’s Visiting Teaching message is left up to us to decide. There were so many wonderful General Conference talks to choose from, but I saw a theme in many of them that stuck out to me. I decided to focus on our influence on the testimonies and strength of our children. There were so many delicious quotes, I could not help myself. Talk about a feast!

I could not narrow it down, so I decided to do a booklet for my Visiting Teaching Handout this month. It contains 16 quotes from five different April 2010 general conference talks. I called it “Keeping Our Families on the Road to Him.” Have a look see for yourself…

I love that it shares why it is important to help our children build their testimonies and learn to act, shows suggestions on how to do this and talks about the blessings for them, but also us as parents. I included quotes on young children too because we (myself, companion, and the fantastic woman I visit) all have really young kids (all boys).

Feel free to use them all, or pick and choose!

They were made as 5×7 so I could print two to a page on card stock, then cut them in half and attach with ribbon.

I am in love with this booklet and hope you like it too!

LDS General Conference Easter Activities

March 24, 2010 By Michelle Barneck 29 Comments

With LDS General Conference on Easter Sunday this year, I thought it would be fun to do a coloring page and activity with an Easter theme, but using words kids would hear in the conference talks. We are always in need of multiple activities to keep the kiddos entertained.

This first LDS General Conference Easter themed coloring page is meant for older kids who can read, but younger ones could just color it or get help from mom and dad.

Here is a little General Conference Easter egg hunt activity for the smaller ones who need the picture help. They can color the eggs each time they hear a word in a talk and tape them in the Easter basket. My little one loves anything to do with tape. You could even do an incentive at the end (like candies or nickels) based on the number of eggs they have in their basket.

You are welcome to print and use what you like. Have a great Conference/Easter weekend!
