Printable Thanksgiving Crossword For Kids

November 4, 2013 By Michelle Barneck 7 Comments

Family Traditions are so important and with Thanksgiving coming up it is nice to find ways to involve everyone, even those tiny hands. Sometimes they get bored waiting for dinner to be prepared or come in looking to sneak a snack for their patient little tummies. A Thanksgiving game that combines snacks, fun, and learning is just the ticket!
Download the Free Thanksgiving Crossword Puzzle Key Printable.
This Thanksgiving crossword will keep the kids at bay until you can get that bird that perfect golden. Just print it out and give them a cup full of Alpha-Bits cereal to see how many letters they can match up. It will keep them busy searching and they can eat the letters that aren’t on the page. The letter shaped cereal helps them learn their letters while they think they are just having fun! Plus, with 20g of whole grains and 12 essential vitamins and nutrients (per 30g serving) you can feel good that you aren’t filling them up with junk.

It also seems that the older kids like to have a game too, even though they might not like to admit it, so here’s a blank template to make it a little more challenging for the older kids.

Download the Blank Thanksgiving Crossword.
You’ll find that some of the letters are easier to find in the Alpha-Bits than others so give the kids fair warning so they don’t get frustrated. You can give them a pen to fill in any missing letters they could not find in their cup.
Let them loose and watch their minds work their magic!
Other fun Alpha-Bits Thanksgiving games:
See how many Thanksgiving words you can spell with the letters in your cup of Alpha-Bits.
Play Thanksgiving Bingo using the cereal as space markers.
String Alpha-Bits to make edible necklaces.
Let the kids make up their own games. I am always amazed at the creative things they come up with!

Printable Thanksgiving Place Cards

October 29, 2013 By Michelle Barneck Leave a Comment

Amy from The Happy Scraps here again.  I’m excited to share this simple Thanksgiving Place Card Printable with you today.

The Thanksgiving place cards come four to a sheet, and when cut they are 3 1/2 x 5.  You will need to trim all sides, and the middle horizontally and vertically. If you would like to download the printable file, watermark free, you can do so here.

Once you have the place cards cut, you can write the names on them.  I opted to score mine on the line to make folding easier.

And that is it!  They are ready to use.

So very simple and easy.

And everyone will be excited to find their names.

If you are looking for my Thanksgiving decorating ideas, come on over to The Happy Scraps and see what I have to share!

Thanks Amy these are great! I feel like we are always scrambling to decide who sits where keeping couples together and lefties together, etc. These will be great to create some order and add some charm!

October Visiting Teaching Message Handout

October 10, 2013 By Michelle Barneck 1 Comment

The October Visiting Teaching Message is about The Divine Mission of Jesus Christ: Creator. The whole lesson was fabulous and I recommend reading it in its entirety, but here is one of my favorite parts of the lesson from Joseph Smith.

Sometimes in today’s hustle and bustle it is easy to forget that we are daughters of God with a divine potential. I love this simple reminder of how special we are to Him.

It is meant to be printed as a 4×6. Feel free to print out and share with your visiting teaching sisters.

August Visiting Teaching Message

August 7, 2013 By Michelle Barneck 6 Comments

The August visiting teaching message goes right along with the Relief Society theme of “Charity Never Faileth.” It is about Welfare and how we can help those around us. I created a handout using one of my favorite quotes by President Eyring from the message.

Feel free to print and share with your sisters. It is made as a 4×6 so you can easily print it on a photo card.
