YW Lesson 8: Eternal Families

I found this amazing Celestial Airline lesson plan idea from Cher Castle via Sugardoodle. She has super cute printables for tickets and handouts and even provides a lesson outline to keep the theme going with the lesson material.

At one point she recommends having a suitcase to write What kind of things should we pack so we can enjoy eternal life?” (Examples-baptism, temple, repentance, scripture study, family etc.)

I found a perfect suitcase outline and made them to print two to a page so I figured I would share. Just click the image to make it big enough to print.

I also decided to add in a water bottle (since that is something that can’t go with you through security) to write the things that we need to leave behind and try not to do to have an eternal family relationship. Here’s a printable page.

I used to be a flight attendant so I am going to wear my flight attendant cardigan, but I was not sure where my wings were. So, I combined a couple of images to make my own Celestial Airline wings that I will wear. I’m also going to give them all wings with their handout.

Printable Behavior Charts

I needed a little help in getting my kiddo motivated to listen and obey. I decided to make it fun with a colorful chart where he would earn points toward a prize. I figured if I was going to go to all the work to put something together I better share! Here are the free printable behavior charts, just choose boy or girl and add your child’s name at the top. I laminated mine with clear contact paper so I could use it over and over with a dry erase marker.

Add the point value needed at the bottom by the arrow and also at the top of the rectangle so you can color in the points as they earn them on the graph. I added a little picture of what he is earning also so he can see it every time we add or take away a point.

The point value varies on how big the prize is. It took him about 3 weeks to earn Candy Land, but just 3 days to earn a Toy Story velvet paint page. He averages about 5 points per day.

I used Everyday Mom Ideas “L’il Monster” free digital scrap kit to make my behavior charts.

Blogger Celebration

It’s my party and I’ll SING if I want to?! Today is my 2nd blogiversary and I needed a super fun way to celebrate, but what is a party if you are all alone. Blogging is about connecting with people, sharing ideas and bringing us together. So, I recruited 16 of my fave creative bloggers to throw caution to the wind and really let you see how excited we are to be able to share our lives and thoughts with you! Thanks for listening and here’s to another fantastic year of blogging!

Purse Organization, Applying Vinyl, & a Door Prize

I had a bunch of bags sitting around since I am back on diaper bag duty. I hated having them in piles and needed another option. Lucky for me I have a totally odd space in my coat closet that was such a wasted space. I got some hooks, borrowed my handy husband and that was that. My bags are empty so they are light enough to hang straight in the drywall. If they were full, I would need to attach my hooks to studs.
