Lisa Leonard {$50 Giveaway}

April 5, 2012 By Michelle Barneck 7 Comments

Are you ready for a post full of loveliness? We’re talking drool worthy jewelry from one Miss Lisa Leonard. Heard of her shop? I thought you may have. She has the most fabulous designs with a little something for everyone whether you are looking for something…

or just plain fun!

sterling through my lens necklacesterling blessed & lucky necklace

sweetheart tree necklaceI am so excited about the adorable necklace I received from Lisa. It is so fun and oozing with sentimental value. You see, when hubs and I got engaged we carved our initials in to a nearby tree. Is it not perfection? Now I have something special to commemorate that moment.

Oh and did I mention Lisa’s blog? Great read. Especially love her What I Wore Wednesday posts. She has great style combos I wouldn’t have thought of. Like turquoise, yellow, stripes and floral all in one outfit. Sounds crazy, but it’s totally charming!

So who wants to win a little loveliness?

Lisa Leonard is giving away $50 to her shop!

DIY Under $5

April 4, 2012 By Michelle Barneck 4 Comments

Better late than never right? This week I did a little art project egg craft with the kiddos for Easter. I love when their artwork can double as decor. Just add a little ribbon and it’s a banner!

What have you been up to? Let’s Party!
I enjoy your $5 projects so much that I decided to add an addition link section for anything under $15! That’s right. It will open up a place to show additional projects that can’t be purchased with an Abe Lincoln, but are still totally affordable! I can’t wait to see more from you!

Please remember:

  • Only link to your own projects that cost you $5 or less (price does not have to include items you had on hand) or $15 or less in the 2nd section.
  • You can link past projects that fit the dollar limit, but please only link each project one time to one DIY Under $5 party. Do not link the same project week after week.
  • No linking giveaways or items for sale
  • Please link back so others can join the party and so you have the opportunity to be featured on Saturday!

Egg Craft

April 2, 2012 By Michelle Barneck 2 Comments

Here’s a super easy Easter Egg Craft that you can do with the kiddos with things you probably have around the house. It’s a simple way to decorate and show off their artwork too!
Egg Craft Supplies:
Cardstock cut in to egg shapes
Scrapbook paper
Scissors
Glue sticks
Hole punch & Ribbon (optional for banner)
I cut an egg for each member of the family and let each person decorate their own (well maybe the hubs was at work, so we made him a checkered one.) My four year old did his all on his own. For my 17 month old, I would hold up 3 colors of paper and let him choose the color and I would incorporate it on his egg somehow.
Punch holes and string together to use for a Easter banner.
