Pictures on Metal {11×14 Metal Art Giveaway}

November 3, 2011 By Michelle Barneck 176 Comments

Now this excites me! Have you seen this new trend of pictures on metal?! Seriously cool. You can print your own photos on metal! It gives them a super sleek and modern look while still showing off those you love most!

I ordered this piece from Fullerton Photographics using an image from our recent photo shoot with Cioco Photography to go in our game room. I love how playful it is with the metal photo cutout mounted on another metal sheet.
I absolutely LOVE how it turned out! The framing and sheen are right on point! And frankly, the price point doesn’t break the bank either (especially with the awesome coupon they are offering below). This 11×14 mounted cutout runs $62.50. The metal art prices start at just $9.50. Talk about a cool gift! Get a pic of the family for the grandparents or one for dad’s desk at work.
See for yourself…

Fullerton Photographics is offering $10 off any order of $35 or more through 12/10 for holiday shopping! Nice! I may have to get some more pictures on metal! The coupon code is LITLETIPSDISC or in store just mention A Little Tipsy or the coupon code.

Win your own Metal Photo!

Fullerton Photographics is giving away an 11×14 Metal Art Squared (like mine or with a rectangle mounted) to one lucky Tipsy reader!

DIY Under $5

November 2, 2011 By Michelle Barneck 5 Comments

This week I tackled a super simple Thanksgiving craft. This is my Thanksgiving theme word for this year. I have a ton of decor with “give thanks” etc so I wanted something else that represented this holiday for me.
I already had everything I needed, so this cost me zippo! If you buy them, the paint is just over $2 and the plate $1.

Now let’s see what you’ve been up to!

I enjoy so much your $5 projects that I decided to add an addition link section for anything under $15! That’s right. It will open up a place to show additional projects that can’t be purchased with an Abe Lincoln, but are still totally affordable! I can’t wait to see more from you!

Please remember:

  • Only link to your own projects that cost you $5 or less (price does not have to include items you had on hand) or $15 or less in the 2nd section.
  • You can link past projects that fit the dollar limit, but please only link each project one time to one DIY Under $5 party. Do not link the same project week after week.
  • No linking giveaways or items for sale
  • Please link back so others can join the party and so you have the opportunity to be featured on Saturday!

Thanksgiving Craft: Gather Plate

November 1, 2011 By Michelle Barneck 8 Comments

Lately, I am finding myself drawn to the simple things. This is the time of year when the hustle and bustle begins and there just seems to be a lot of “noise.” Halloween has passed and I needed something to fill the Holiday decor void so I came up with this simple Thanksgiving craft. I have lots of decor items that refer to giving thanks, being grateful, remembering our blessings, etc. I wanted a simple word that represents Thanksgiving to me. I think I found the perfect one.

Between all the craziness of travelling and food prep there is one thing about Thanksgiving that means the most to me and that is the gathering. Bringing family and friends together to express our gratitude, bask in memories, and create new.

Easy Thanksgiving Craft: Gather Plate

Did I mention that you only need three things?

White plate
Martha Stewart Fire Opal Glitter Paint
Martha Stewart Fine Tip Top #3
Screw the tip on to your paint bottle and write on the plate.
Let dry overnight.
Add your cute new Thanksgiving craft to your decor.
