Pics are being taken Saturday at Wheeler Farm. Please help me choose what to put the child in. The hubs is no help and well, I can’t make a decision. Sorry about the one of each shoe, I was too lazy to change them each time. The actual color of shoe is in the clothes layout pic. And I was too lazy to make him pose for the 15ish options, so judge the outfit not the pose. 😉
Now cast your vote. If he looks at these pics in ten years and asks me, “Mom, what were you thinking when you dressed me?!” I will blame you. 😉 JK
PS. Sorry for the giant amount of posts today! And…it’s my blog and I’ll post if I want to, post if I want to, post if I want to *sung to the tune of “It’s My Party and I’ll Cry if I Want to”*

I LOVE option #1(brown coat) or #2(without the orange and with the brown shoes!!), Your son is ADORABLE!!
dougandcheryl says
I say #2 but agree without the orange jacket but with the brown shoes. What a cutie.
Adrian's Crazy Life says
It’s funny that you are putting SO much thought into this. I usually had like one or two choices and just threw them into whatever fit and didn’t have a hole in it. I didn’t care, I just loved to see my boys. Pictures are my favorite, favorite thing in the world, no matter what they are wearing and I look back at them years later and I still love them. That said, my favorite is choice #1 exactly as shown in the first picture. He looks like a cute little rocker. Don’t hate me, but I don’t love the aqua vest or the yellow shoes. But I do think the dino shirt is cute. But if you love them, just figure this is the opinion of the Mom who dressed her boys in whatever for their pictures!
Sell...Party Of 4 says
I say option two…but really he is just adorable and looks stinkin’ cute in all of it!
Donna @ Mudpies & Memories says
Option 4 with the yellow shoes!
Alissa says
Number 1 with Orange jacket.
Angela says
I like option 1 orange jacket and option 4 yellow shoes.
Heather says
#2 – love the vest! (Without the sweater)
Heidi says
Def #2
Carolyn Beth says
I would say #2. I love a classic timeless look and I think you get that with #2. I would ask your photog if you can do an outfit change so you could get a little of both, trendy and timeless. Oh and I adore the brown shoes.
Tina says
I love #2 with the brown shoes and no jacket! Such a sweet boy!!!
Caitlin says
i love option #1 with the brown jacket. I also love option 3 with brown shoes and orange jacket. but im pretty sure my favorite is option #4 with the brown shoes. the yellow goes great with his hair and skin tone. he is tooooo cute!!!

This is the most moronic thing I’ve ever seen. No, really: ever. What kind of a self-absorbed fool puts that much time into what their son is going to wear for a photo? I am pretty sure that the part that’s supposed to matter in any photo is your child–his face, his size, his personality.
Your priorities are whacked, and you’re an egocentric freak. Get over yourself.
Kami says
I totally understand the stress of getting the right outfit for pictures!
#2, without the jacket, and brown shoes. I am sucker for a sweater vest!
Shauntel says
Option 2, brown shoes. I think it will look best at Wheeler Famrm. The plaid is country and it’s definitly country out there! a I think he will look back on the yellow shoes and ask what was my mom thinking. (I think they look girly in the pics.) While I don’t agree with how the anonymous comment was totally rude and inappropriate, plus if you’re going to say crap like that, don’t hide and be anonymous, the clothes aren’t the most important thing. Just make sure your cute boy is happy and comfortable so he’ll smile and be nice for the photographer. Furthermore, I don’t think you’re whacked or egocentric for caring about how your kid looks in a picture. Pictures can be pricey and you have them forever. Shame on you for wanting them to be nice? Come on! Also, take smarties, they are sweet and not sticky or full of dye to make a mess with. Good Luck!!!
Emily says
I like option 1 orange jacket and 4 brown shoes! Such a cutie! (Does he go for older women? I meant my youngest…not me! LOL)
Andrea says
I like option one with orange jacket and brown shoes. I am an amateur photographer and have photographed a lot of kiddos. In my opinion, you want color and you don’t want to look like you’re trying too hard. He’s still a little boy.
Logan & Lindy says
option #2 No orange Jacket. Brown Shoes! Adorable!!
Becca says
i like option 1 with orange jacket.
Kara@ Creations by Kara says
He is totally adorable and would look cute in anything! But my favorite is probably #1 with the orange jacket. Oh, and I noticed the rude comment by “Anonymous”. I hope it doesn’t make you feel bad. Clearly they are not only immature and rude, but also cowardly to hide behind a fake name. Ignore them. You are awesome!
Anonymous says
I think they are all cute, but you said you don’t want him to look back in 10 years and ask What were you thinking? well… The blue vest and yellow shoes are cute for now, but he is going to grow into a teenager then an adult and I don’t know of any guy that would be thrilled about the vest and shoes! Don’t get me wrong they are cute but thats just it they are “cute”! I know if I put my boys in them they wouldn’t show anyone the pic:-]
Scrappy Gifts says
Option 1, brown jacket seems to be a more classic look and color scheme. I love option 2 as well, but 10+ years from now, I don’t know if the colors will still be in style.
Good luck! Lots of opinions I see.
Jax @ AlyandAsh says
#2, Brown Shoes and bring along the BROWN jacket for a couple but mostly no jacket! And some without the vest too!
SweetPeaknits says
#1 with the brown jacket. He’s a cutie!
Payne Family says
I like option #4 no jacket and with the brown shoes. It is much simpler and less distracting, you want to see him not his clothes in the pictures. But that is just my opinion, take it for what it’s worth. Good luck
lis says
Option 2 with brown shoes. Darn, he’s one handsome fella!
And he’ll blame you regardless, so what the heck? 😀
Stacy of KSW says
Wow, I can’t believe you got him to try on all those clothes! It depends on the type of shot you’re going for. Since it’s at a farmer you might like to stick to casual like option #1 with the brown jacket but I just had to throw in there that Option #2 with no jacket is super adorable!! and perfect for photos.
Jennifer Chase says
You already have lots of opinions but I’ll add mine…brown shoes. (And ignore the inappropriate comments…moms understand!)
kpmattingly says
I like option 2 with no jacket. Very cute!
Camille says
You can’t go wrong with any of them! And I just have to say, he is such a good sport to be your “model” for all those photographs! 🙂 Can’t wait to see the family pics !
PVDela says
I think they are all super cute but option two is the most classic, which means that years from now you will probably avoid any cringing.
Barnecked Lady says
#2 with brown shoes, no jacket.
Crustacean Queen says
I like option 1 no jacket. But really my favorite part is his “I’m not thrilled,” looked in a few of the pictures! I’ve gotten that look from him before! Hahahha, it’s awesome that you’ve captured it!
CraftyBrit says
#2, brown shoes, and if you want a jacket, I say the brown. He’ll look adorable either way 🙂
Rachael says
#2 🙂 good luck deciding.
mandy says
# 2 brown shoes no jacket. i love it so much i gotta ask where did you get the shirt?!
Michelle says
Mandy-
The plaid shirt is a hand me down, but was originally from Target. The Osh Kosh Genuine Kids Brand.

In response to Anonymous-
Of course my child is most important. He is so cute that he looks adorable in anything I put him in which makes it so hard to choose. I thought it would be fun to have a vote. I like to keep my readers involved, but I understand if you think I am egocentric. Thanks for giving me a good laugh. I am pretty self-absorbed, I do write a blog about myself. Though I do not set up a “special” account to cut others down. I hope you get what you need out of it. I know it gave me a big smile and chuckle.
Suze says
Option #1 with the Orange jacket and the Yellow shoes.
Mine’s the only opnion that counts, so you can take everyone else’s opinion and shove it out the window!
Okay….that was a little harsh. You can keep the opinions that match mine and throw everyone else’s out the window!
I hope we get to see your pictures!
Brenda Hall says
Option #4 definately…captures his olive skintone…..
Lani says
I personally would say Option #4 with brown shoes, but I would take the orange jacket. I think the brown and yellow would be perfect for the farm, but I LOVE the color of the bright orange too! In regards to the comment from “Anonymous” I must say that I am actually much more impressed with the parents who think about what looks nice and teach their children style rather than simply allowing the child to choose. It’s fine to allow your child choices day to day, however for special pictures I do think that there should be an over all ruling that whoever is paying gets to choose what is worn, how nice of you to think of what he would like to see looking back! And not just what you think he looks “cute” in! Props to you! Oh and I must say that, as a photographer who recently moved to Utah, I would LOVE to do a photo session over at Wheeler Farm! You’re pictures I’m sure will be ADORABLE!!!
Amanda K says
I like option 2 with the brown shoes – and since I get to see him in person, I “personally” think it it the best choice!
That anonymous person makes me laugh – seriously – don’t they have anything better to do with their lives then leave mean notes on peoples blogs – and clothing in pictures is important – I worried about my engagment pics – my family pic and do you know how long it took my in-laws to choose a color for our family pics? What you wear is important no matter if you are 2 or 26 or 80! I’m just sayin.
Landon and Kylie says
Definitely option #2 with the sneakers. I’m a photographer, and seriously bright colors like that aqua on little kids are always a huge crowd pleaser. But my best advice is to put him in something that he LOVES and is comfortable in. If you force him to wear something that he’s pulling at and grumpy in, you will hate your pictures. Better to have him in PJs and jumping around and smiling than a sport coat refusing to looks at the camera. Good luck!
Jen says
Decisions, decisions! It’s hard to choose, but I really like option #2 with the brown shoes!
Rachelle P says
option 2 for sure. But I am a sucker for a plaid shirt and a cute vest!!!
KrisKay says
I love the vest outfit! So cute! 🙂
Jaime says
Definately one of the ones with the orange jacket. I just saw someone that had their pictures taken in orange, and it looked awesom!!! Orange is bright and fun!!!
Sara says
If it was my kid, I’d choose the option 4 with brown shoes, or option 1, brown shoes, no jacket. 🙂
Jessica says
4 with brown shoes or 2 with BROWN JACKET from option 1 and brown shoes.
A Few Crafty Things... says
Personally, I like the last choice with the polka dot boots, and jacket. But, it depends on the type of photos you are taking… Is it just him? Is it a family shoot? what will everyone else be wearing style and colorwise???? That all has bearing. But, all in all, the last choice with dot boots and jacket (see, I managed to vote twice with one response…).
Also, I must commend you on your restraint to “Anonymous”… I was floored, is she still in high school with the need to put others down in order to feel superior? Anyhoooo, you handled it very well and when you think about it, it is quite funny….
Good luck and I hope to see your pictures. I am also RSSing you blog. Missy

Lucky you your’s keeps clothing on!!! If I take mine out I dress them and rush them into the car before any can spill, smear or booger their outfit!

Option 2, brown shoes, no jacket! That makes for an awesome picture!
