Naturally, I was not a big fan of the strange tan/green motif so I painted the creases with brown to add some dimension and then went over the whole thing with a couple of coats of heirloom white.
Then, it was off to the pumpkin patch for those three perfect pumpkin stackers. The bottom pumpkin was just the right size and the owners goat had chewed off the stem so it was perfect! I broke the middle one's stem off with my bare hands only to have a giant ear wig jump out at me. Those things creep me out!!! I promptly killed it and proceeded with the stacking.
I really liked the natural look, so I attached a pack of silk leaves from the Dollar Tree with double sided sticky tape and added a raffia bow. you could use piles of real leaves if you are lucky enough to have them. Our trees have not started shedding quite yet.
And here she is in all her harvest glory! I love my cute little pumpkin topiary! Still haven't gotten my Halloween decorations out. :) he he

I found the original inspiration idea from Grams via Ucreate.
I know, the palm tree welcome mat has got to go. I didn't sweep, because hey it's fall. Leaves on the porch is how it is supposed to be. And yes, that is sidewalk chalk on the porch. The rain can't seem to reach it to wash it away. My little artist is "set in stone."
Oh dear, it is 10:30 AM and I just heard a stool being dragged and "MMM cake, mmmm brownies!" coming from the kitchen. The pan of brownies I left on the counter top are in danger!
**Update:this is what I found in the kitchen.
